The farming of organic product is a unique practice which balances the environmental sustainability and also controls the detrimental effect both on customer’s safety by creating a positive notion in the minds of the customers. The study is basically related to growing of Organic farm products and its influence towards customer attitude which leads to purchase intention. This Research has considered certain variables such as Health Concern, Perceived Behavioural Control, perception of customers, Subjective Norms and Environmental Concerns as to the antecedents of purchase intention. The objective of the literature review is to assess the sustainability factor of organic farm products both in India and abroad and also to identify the impact on customers buying behaviour along with exploring the demand factor in present and future scenarios and identifying the customer’s attitude and environmental concern. This literature review is developed by using the secondary data collected from exhaustive literature, review of journals and the internet. The purpose of the study is to identify the customer’s environmental concern and commitment towards environment sustainability. In organic farming, there is an advantage of low-cost input prices in production which diverts the attention of customers towards organic farming. The limitation of the study is the people are more motivated by personal factors rather than social or environmental factors. The study is limited to organic farm products and customers' attitude leading to purchase intention.

Over the past few years, an increase in stress has been witnessed amongst employees of various generations, working together at the workplace. In the process of settling at work, Millenials (Gen Y) are demonstrating new behaviors with the intent to gain success, which is starkly different from their predecessors. The objective of the study is to make a comparative analysis of the workplace related expectations of Gen Yers first as students and then as employees in order to analyze if these expectations change with time and experience, or remain the same.Data was collected through “Two Stage Stratified Random sampling” from Millennial MBA students from four major districts of Gujarat. Out of 843 respondents, 555 i.e. 65.8 percent were students and 288 i.e. 34.2 percent being the young working professionals. The students rated “Salary” as the first selection criteria and “job security” being second whereas Professionals rated “Job Security “as the most important factor and “Salary” was rated second, thereby stressing on the importance of these two variables in their selection criteria. “Location of the job” was rated as the least important variable both by the Students and Professionals thereby indicating that they are mobile and interested in taking up assignments that can help expand their outlook irrespective of the location. For these five variables; the average ranking given by the respondents was cross tabulated with 1.Age, 2.Gender and 3. Status, in order to bring out the comparative importance assigned to each variable.

STRATEGIES FOR OFFENSE AND DEFENSE IN GLOBAL CAPITAL MARKETS
El Namaki, Prof. Dr. M S S El
Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Investment Strategies, Investing, Risk Management
Common vision of warfare is strewn with troop movements, destructive technologies, ruined infrastructure and, naturally, physical violence. What is missing is another side of the story: the use of capital markets, financial instruments and financial institutions to wage a war that is just as violent as the physical one. The difference is the type of violence and the ultimate physical and nonphysical impact. Bloodletting gives way to financial resource destruction and demolishing of infrastructure is substituted by the destruction of assets, markets, institutions, jobs and ultimately individuals. What constitutes offense and defense conditions in global capital markets and what are the respective strategies is the focus of the following article. The article starts with a brief analysis of symptoms of disarray in today’s global capital markets and what constitutes strategies for aggression in those markets. This is followed by an analysis of the defense side of the equation. The articles go further to suggest a conceptual framework for those dynamics. The article is based on contemporary capital market conceptual frameworks as well as case histories of countries as Thailand, Argentina and Russia. The warfare component is drawn from the observed behavior of players within those markets and the ultimate goals and outcomes of this behavior. The article provides a new analytical framework for strategic thinking within global capital markets. The conceptual framework and its operational dimension have an immediate applied use in projecting country position and identifying country aggressive or defensive posture.

The study examined the relationship between tax revenue and economic growth in Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive and historical research design; secondary data for twenty-two years (1994 -2015) were collected from various issues of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) statistical bulletin and annual reports. Tax revenue as an independent variable was measured with Value Added Tax (VAT); Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT); Company Income Tax (CIT) and Custom and Excise Duties (CED) while the dependent variable was Economic Growth (EG) proxied by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Analysis was performed on data collected using Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) Regression and other post estimations (Jarque-Bera test; Breusch-Godfrey LM and Ramsey Reset Test) to determine the existence of relationship between the variables. The results of the study showed that VAT and CED had a significant relationships with economic growth (p<0.05), while CIT has negative significant relationship with economic growth (P<0.05). However, PPT had no significant relationship with economic growth. The study concluded that the role of taxation in nation’s building is irreplaceable. Taxation remains a strong socio political and economic tool for economic prosperity. It is therefore recommended that government should engage in a complete re-organization of tax administrative machinery to reduce incidence of tax evasion and avoidance to the barest minimum in order to improve tax revenue and bring more people and establishments into the tax net. Also, tax revenue should be judiciously utilized to provide enabling environment for business survival and economic growth in Nigeria.

Nelson and Quick (2013) describe organizational cultures as “a pattern of basic assumptions that are considered valid and that are taught to new members as a way to perceive, think and feel in the organization” (p.592). Organizational cultures are a vital part of any company’s environment and provide employees with the necessary tools to integrate themselves into the overall organizational dynamic; however, most organizational cultures are plagued with dysfunctional dynamics that have stemmed from a dysfunctional personality of a key leader in their environment. This paper is based on the experience of designing and delivering special change, the organizational culture has been, for the most part, healthy and thriving. In this paper, we will review some of the problems facing the University and how key organizational leaders have successfully influenced change in a manner that has led to the valuable organizational culture in place today.

In the current economic scenario interest rates are falling and fluctuation in the share market has put investors in confusion. One finds it difficulties to take decision on investment. This is primarily, because of investment are risky in nature and investors have to consider various factors before investing in investment avenues. These factors include risk, return, volatility of shares and liquidity. The main objective of our research is risk and returns analysis of different indices of BSE(S&P) like large cap, midcap, and small cap and also to evaluation of best indices/stock for investment. In our research we have taken historical data for last four year for finding out Risk & Return on monthly basis by comparing large cap to mid cap, large cap to Small cap and Midcap to Small cap Most of the risk-averse investors allocate money in large cap funds to avoid huge volatility and uncertainty. This large cap stocks carries low risk as well as low return and compared to mid and small cap stocks. While the small and mid cap companies are highly volatile and risky but have potential for higher returns if invested in fundamentally good company.

This paper examined the concept of negotiation and types of negotiation, namely distributive and integrative. It pondered on why people fail to keep to negotiation rules. Thomas Hobbes state of nature and Machiavelli’s concept of the human relationship used to explain this phenomenon. Furthermore, the article argues that this disposition is a consequence of people’s perception of negotiation as a game where one party’s gain is the other party’s loss. The significance of game theory in the negotiation is therefore emphasised. Personality factors were considered important in the negotiation process. The impact of the big-five personality on the negotiation situation was highlighted. Unethical practices could make the negotiation process difficult, thereby affecting the quality of decision reached during negotiation. The study concludes by suggesting some ways of succeeding in negotiation.

J M Keynes on the Definition of Uncertainty: Why Uncertainty must come in Degrees and has nothing to do with Ergodicity or Non Ergodicity

Economic theory, economics, practice of economics, JM Keynes
Keynes’s definition of uncertainty is directly based on his weight of the argument (evidence) relation, analyzed in chapters 6 and 26 of the A Treatise on Probability (1921), page 148,as well as the footnote on page 148 ,of the General Theory (1936) ,and multiple pages of his February, 1937 Quarterly Journal of Economics article. There is no discussion of the definition of Uncertainty in his exchanges with Jan Tinbergen in 1939-40 in the Economic Journal.Paul Davidson and his Post Keynesian-Institutionalist supporters base their Ergodic-Non Ergodic approach to the definitions of uncertainty and risk on the inductive fallacy of Conditional A priorism (Long Runism). The claim , made by Paul Davidson and his Post Keynesian-Institutionalist supporters for over 30 years, that decision makers are able to identify the ergodicity or non ergodicity of long run stochastic sequences or series of events or outcomes in the short run ,based on Davidson’s claim that decision makers are able to know or learn of the convergence properties of such series or sequences, which can only be known “in the long run “(infinity), by examining sub series or sub sequences ,is patently false and not accepted by any scholar in any other academic field .Davidson bases his binary approach to uncertainty, which rules out any concept of different degrees to knowledge (certainty) and unknowledge (uncertainty), on both metaphysical speculations and/or a priori claims to knowledge. There can be no such thing as probable knowledge under this binary approach.

The paper is an exploratory study in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices with focus to travel and tourism players in Malawi. Entrepreneurs such as airlines, travel agencies and tour operators in tourism industry serve millions of people worldwide and generate billions of dollars globally and contribute to country’s economies. It is expected that tourism and hospitality growth will continue in the coming years. The Malawi tourism sector is one of least developed in the Southern Africa due to its focus on Agriculture especially tobacco for many years. Recently, the sector has received positive acceptance by both public and private sectors due to its positive contributions to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and anti-global tobacco campaigns. From the year 2009, Malawi Government included tourism on the list of twelve priority areas within the priorities. The sector has experienced the growth in transportation services for example; travel agencies, tour operators, car rental companies and airlines coming into the industry. Moreover, there is a rising awareness for tourism firms’ actions to be responsible towards the environment and the community in which they operate. It is very important the these firms must align mission statements in a such a way to achieving competitive advantage in utilizing business strategy by taking into considering three key aspects: people, profit and environment. Through practices and actions involved by tourism and hospitality establishments in the sector, serve as examples in the society in which other firms within and outside the tourism industry stands to emulate, thus increasing sustainability practices, improving understanding of the tourism firms role in the environment and thereby minimizing negative social and environmental impacts, and enhancing effective positive tourism firms’ impacts in the business operations contexts.

REVIEW OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF COSO IN THE FIELD OF INTERNAL CONTROL MANAGEMENT
Braun, O’Mike
The internal control management has been relied and stressed upon by the corporate sector worldwide in the recent times. The corporate governance norms and codes have provided for the setting up of internal control systems in place in the auditing committees in the listed companies. Not only the listed companies but every those entities which are exposed to the market risk need to focus on the internal control system so that they are able to face the dynamics of the business environment. For providing the basis and recognition to the internal control management, Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) has provided the justification to the internal control systems as a process for the mitigation and identification of corporate risk. This paper reviews the contributions of the COSO in the setting up of internal control systems in corporate bodies.

Capital Market Development and Economic Growth in Nigeria

Developmetal Studies
The paper examined the effect of a well developed capital market on economic growth in Nigeria. We developed a model that is able to investigate how capital market development affects business cycle volatilities, and in the long run economic growth through the use of multi-variable regression analysis. Unit root test was conducted and all our estimating variables were stationary at first difference except the Christiano-Fitzgerald filter which shows that our model interpretation would not be spurious and a true representation of the relationships that exists between the explained and explanatory variables. Error Correction Model was introduced in our estimation in order to have a parsimonious model. Insignificant variables such as Net Export were removed from our model. This can be understood from the reasoning that Nigeria remains a mono-cultural economy (oil dependent) and is seen by the export shocks being negative and significant from our earlier regression result. From our result, all our variables (market capitalization, gross fixed capital, and structural activity) all have a positive but fairly insignificant impact on economic growth. The volatility measure on the other hand had a negative but highly significant impact on economic growth which supports the endogenous growth model that developing countries (Nigeria inclusive) are highly susceptible to macroeconomic shocks such as money supply shocks, export supply shocks, productivity shocks, etc). In addition, Engle-Granger co integration test was done and showed the existence of a long run relationship between capital market development and economic growth in Nigeria. We recommend adopting a policy framework that address the weak linkages between net export and the rest of the Nigerian economy by diversification, creating conducive environment that allows domestic investors to invest in the capital market and removing all impediments to local businesses. Finally, government securities should be channelled to more productive sectors to complement those in the private sector.

Third-party logistics service providers, Retail industry, Zimbabwe
The study focused on an assessment of third-party logistics service providers in the Zimbabwean retail industry. The study was guided by the study objectives that included establishing the need for third-party logistics service providers, to determine the challenges faced by organizations that make use of third party logistics service providers, to ascertain the factors that contribute to improved logistics services. Literature with regards to third-party logistics service providers was established in this study with the aid of empirical evidence. Pragmatism research philosophy and exploratory research design were utilized in this study as it aided on breaking new insights on third-party logistics service providers. The target population focused on 30 freight organizations in Zimbabwe that were sampled by simple random sampling. Census was adopted in the study as the target population was small. Both structured interviews and questionnaires were used in this study in gathering research data. All the 25 questionnaires were administered as well as the 5 interviews were also successfully conducted. Recommendations were made that retail organizations in Zimbabwe have to outsource well-recommended brands to reduce disappointments that can lead to loss of customers from the adoption of party logistics service providers for distribution and warehousing. The next researcher can now look into the influence of humanitarian logistics on economic growth.

An Exploratory Study of the Development Assistance System and Its Multiple Challenges in the Global Economy: An Obstacle for Assisted Countries

system, development aid, international cooperation, actors, networks, and globalization
This aim of this study is to explore the development assistance system and its multiple challenges in the global economy: an obstacle for assisted countries. Development aid is one of the instruments of international cooperation whose primary objective is to facilitate trade in the context of globalization. It deserves to be approached systemically to understand the different monetary and human flows and to build networks of actors developing reciprocal interdependencies. For example, development aid to poor countries can be broken down into four main variants: “budget assistance,” “technical assistance,” “project assistance” and “emergency assistance.” According to the authors, development aid must be analyzed in relation to the overall socio-economic and political context (on the donor country side) and local (in the assisted country), acting on the networking links developed by the actors involved. It is thus asserted in the asymmetry of the power relations between the players in the framework of international relations. Donation refers, by analogy, to altruism, philanthropy, the notions of “good” and “evil,” and morality. He also suggests the idea of the ethics of reciprocity, the golden rule, in other words: “Do to others what you would like to be done if you were in their situation.” As “The Golden Rule, states: ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ Rather than doing to others what they have done to us or giving them what they may deserve, we are to treat them the way we want them to treat us.

Globalization, Gender (IN) Equality and the Transnational Diffusion of Other Social Movements

globalization, social movements, transnational diffusion, gender equality
The aim of this paper is to analyze how globalization has influenced the spread of different social movements, with a peculiar focus on gender issues, the Islamist expansion and the Gandhian nonviolence repertoire and self-immolation. These particular social movements were chosen due to their heterogeneity as they entail different contents (central claims being made) and repertoires (forms of manifestation). If the Islamist movement, the Gandhian repertoire of nonviolence and self-immolation have reached a global level due to conscious actions undertaken by leaders and networks of followers spreading from the less developed to the more developed regions of the globalized world, the plight of gender equality seems to follow a different pattern. Many of the positive outcomes connected with the feminist movement (such as a better economic situation for women, better job market penetration, more equal wages) stem not necessarily from conscious and coordinated actions (although these were often organized and contributed) but can largely be seen as secondary outcomes (spill-overs) of FDI penetration and trade openness. In brief, once western companies relocated to new eastern/southern locations they required female labor force and were more inclined to offer more equal payment than local capitalist/companies. As such, the higher level of gender equality brought by globalization in the ‘poor South’ was largely an unintended effect or a positive externality of FDI penetration and the more gender inclusive labor practices of western companies.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF SME PROFITABILITY IN INDIAN ISLAND STATES
Bansal, Parveen
This study is an endeavor to examine the relationship in the middle of productivity and normal for MSMEs in South Andaman area. The study is in light of essential and optional wellspring of information. The specimen choice is in light of arbitrary example of 120 MSMEs from South Andaman District of Andaman and Nicobar islands. The aftereffect of Matrix Pearson Correlation study demonstrated a positive relationship between big business' qualities and productivity. Notwithstanding this, the consequences of various relapse model demonstrates that free variables, for example, capital speculation, business experience, number of worker and day by day working hours are fundamentally affecting the MSMEs benefit in the island area.

Organizational Studies
Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) can be defined as, anything positive and constructive that employees do voluntarily, which supports co-workers and benefits the company. These employees are always ready to ‘go the extra mile’ or ‘go above and beyond’ the minimum efforts required to do a merely satisfactory job. Human capital plays a key role in achieving organization objectives with the highest effectiveness. Employee empowerment is a strategy and philosophy and helps employees own their work and take responsibility for their results. Organizational commitment is individual’s psychological involvement and attachment to the organization and is very important for organizational success. It predicts work variables such as turnover, organizational citizenship behavior and job performance. This paper is an effort to analyze work place empowerment and organizational commitment as a predictor of organizational citizenship behavior.

COMPARING NET PROFIT FORECASTS OF INDIAN BANKS USING OLS AND GARCH 1,1 FRAMEWORK
Malhotra, Rohit

Banking
OLS, GARCH, Earning Forecasts
In the present paper the Bi-variate Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and Generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasicity (GARCH 1, 1) model are applied to gather the fitted Net –Profit series of Two nationalized banks viz, State Bank of India SBI (being a leader) and ING Vysya bank (not a leader) in the Indian Banking sector. It is evident that OLS is non-parameterized method while QMLE or QML is a parameterized technique of coefficients estimation. The robustness must therefore need to see with respect to the data in consideration. The whole approach is to measure how both the models provide Earning forecasts and to analyze the behavior of regression coefficients. Also, the second objective could be to see how “Leader” bank earnings estimation process differs from the non-leader bank in the Indian banking setup. The results are clearly explaining differences in two banks in terms of their coefficient values, residual state and R-squared values.

THE REAL TRADE-OFF BETWEEN OPPORTUNITY COST AND UNCERTAIN PROFIT
Dema, Tshering
The literatures have shown that there is a trade-off between the uncertainty and the profit in economic parlance. The empirical studies have shown the existence of the trade-off between the two. Opportunity cost is the other economic fact which is co studied with the uncertainty and profit. The opportunity cost is the cost which is exposed to the uncertainty and profitable avenues. This study shows that not only there exists a relation between the opportunity cost, uncertainty and profits but there also exists a trade-off between them. The study shows that the opportunity cost is always of the real consideration when determining the impact of the uncertainty over the profits.

In the present world the bitter fact is that mostly people are living in poverty especially in the developing countries. This paper presents some effective policies and strategies for the rehabilitation of poor inhabitants of developing world. The development and prosperity of developing countries depends on the economic condition of their inhabitants. In developing countries, mostly people are engaged with agricultural sector or with labor sector. Due to their low incomes, per capita of developing countries remain low. But by following some strategies and policies this condition may be changed. Furthermore, export of costly products is also hindrances in the way of achieving progress for developing countries. By solving brain drain, lessening their industrial imports and increasing their exports of industrial goods and increasing literacy rate are some suitable strategies discussed. But despite of all policies and strategies, the infrastructure and increasing literacy among the inhabitants of developing countries and the under developed world are also crucial for improving their per capita income and the standard of living. Without improving the standard of living of the under developed world, crimes, diseases and other wrong deeds cannot be decreased until the problem of hunger and ignorance is not solved.

BRIC Stock Markets, Stationary and Non stationary, Correlation and Co-integration
Globalization and liberalization has made investors to invest and earn more in international stock markets. The trade relationship between the stock markets of developed counties and developing countries are increasing extensively. However, stock markets of those countries’ have some little concern and that’s where the domestic investors have diversification opportunity in international stock markets. So the present study examines the co-integration of stock prices of developed and developing counties and also identifies diversification opportunity for Indian investors. To investigate the relationships, researcher has examined the stock indices of developed counties like United States (S & P 500), United Kingdom (FTSE) and Japan (Nikkei) and developing countries like Brazil (BOVESPA), Russia (RTS), Chine (SSE) and India (NSE). Further, the study employs monthly closing price data which is ranging from 1st January, 2008 to 31st June, 2014. Stock price linkages were examined through Johansen co-integration test to study the long term equilibrium relationships and further tested for VAR (Vector Autoregression). The result shows there is no long term relationship exists among developed and developing markets and further VAR (1) indicates all independent variables are insignificant. However, it is good news for Indian international investor that they will benefit from international diversification.

Informal, Urban Entrepreneurship, Poverty, Livelihood, Economic Activities
Unemployment and poverty are serious problems facing urban areas in developing countries. To combat these problems, urban residents have devised a way of employing themselves in the informal sector. However, these informal sector entrepreneurs have continually experienced harassment and stigmatization in the eyes of the urban management agencies. This study aimed at assessing the livelihood impacts of the implications of informal urban entrepreneurship in Kaduna, Nigeria. The objectives are to estimate the income of the informal urban entrepreneurs in line with the minimum wage of Nigeria and establish the relationship between the socio-demographic characteristics of the informal entrepreneurs and their income. Purposive sampling was adopted to sample 384 informal respondents for the study and questionnaires were distributed accordingly. However, only 300 copies of the questionnaire were duly filled and returned, representing 78.13% of the total questionnaire. Both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were performed with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). It was discovered that men tend to participate more in informal entrepreneurship. More so, the study revealed that the informal urban entrepreneurs in Kaduna are taxpayers. Furthermore, inferential statistical tests revealed that gender and educational attainment are statistically significant determinants of the income of the informal urban entrepreneurs in Kaduna. It was therefore recommended that organized marketing space should be provided to these entrepreneurs and they should also be encouraged to acquire formal education. The need to study the impacts of location on informal entrepreneurship was also suggested.

A STUDY ON ATTITUDE OF CUSTOMERS TOWARDS PLASTIC MONEY
Shay, Swapnil
Pathak, Vandna
The sector that is the backbone and heart of a county’s economy is banking. The recent past experience reveals that India is on the fastest way in growing economy. This may due to globalization, financial deregulation and improvement in recent technology. The innovative banking technology is supposed to be the hook of the banking business elephant of India. The boon of innovation to the public in banking sector is the introduction of Asynchronized Transfer Machine cards, practically known as Automatic Teller Machine Card. The ATM cards habit is fast catching up even among the middle classes in the Country because of convenience associated with this new instrument and same is introduced by the banker for the both side benefits. ATMs are one of the ways that made the money more liquid than before. The 21st century witnessed a big boom in the ATM card usage. People prefer to carry ATM cards rather than carry cash and currency notes for safety and security. Cash transactions are considerably reduced in cities and credit transactions. But at the same time the cheque is continuing to dominate with the inland and foreign business traffic. The ATM cards and travelers' cheque show a global spread during the 21st century.

J M Keynes was an acknowledged, world renown, and internationally recognized expert in probability and statistics in the 1930’s based on his A Treatise on Probability (1921). . Keynes had been selected by statistics journals to serve as a referee during the 1930’s. It is, therefore, no surprise that he was selected as the referee by the League of Nations to review Jan Tinbergen’s work on business cycles that used an econometrics approach based on The Law of Large Numbers, the Central Limit Theorem, and the Gaussian (Normal) Distribution .The fundamental axiom used by Tinbergen was additivity . Kolmogorov and the Moscow School of Probability’s main innovation was to go from the axiom of additivity to the axiom of countable additivity. However, Keynes rejected additivity except in the special case that the weight of the evidence, w, which measured the relative completeness of the evidence ,defined on the closed unit interval [0,1],equaled 1 , approached 1,or approximated 1. Keynes also accepted goodness of fit tests, such as the Lexis –Q test, and exploratory data analysis as evidence that could be used to support using a particular probability distribution.

Artificial Intelligence, Strategic Top Management
The probability is high that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will provide the answer to future product and market innovations. It has the ability to induce a fundamental change in products, markets, models, and paradigms. Manufacturing and a wide spectrum of services are undergoing a near-revolutionary change driven by AI delivered innovations. Computing equipment capable of what one may term partial and quasi-intelligent behavior is the trigger. Ways and means of converting this new phenomenon into the strategic behavior of firms is a murky process today. Yet this process will create new premises for strategic thinking and, in the process, new demands on executive competencies.

Adam Smith was the first academic in history to make an explicit, detailed Uncertainty –Risk distinction and apply it clearly in a number of worked out examples and applications consistently in his analysis of decision making in the Wealth of Nations on occupational choice, businesses such as mining and fishing ,taxation, and foreign trade.Other possible claimants will be covered briefly. Only an author’s published works will be considered in making an evaluation.G. Boole, with his indeterminate (uncertainty) –determinate (risk-calculatable probabilities) approach of his 1854 The Laws of Thought, will be ranked second. Joseph Schumpeter, with his 1911 Theory of Economic Development contribution, is ranked third, while Keynes with his 1921 A Treatise on Probability, will be ranked fourth on tie breaks over Knight, with his 1921 Risk, Uncertainty, and Profit ,given that Keynes’s unpublished Fellowship dissertations of 1907 and 1908 are substantially earlier than Knight’s unpublished doctoral dissertation of 1916.G L S Shackle ‘s approach is a non probabilistic approach which ignored the much earlier work of Smith, Boole, and Keynes.

This paper investigates volatility spillover among the capital markets of USA and Egypt by applying the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model and multivariate regression analysis. During the period from 01/01/2004 to 30/06/2010, daily closing prices of the two market indices (EGX 30 and S&P 500) are examined. The study turns out that evidence of bidirectional volatility spillover between US capital market and Egyptian capital market is observed. These findings suggest that the developed equity markets and the emerging markets are gradually integrated in the sense that the volatility of each market is transmitted to the other markets.

A pandemic breaks out and spreads to the geographies and regions of the entire world. Increased infections force governments to bring in lockdowns locking almost every activity. The restrictions are put on the movement of humans and goods. Supply lines are badly affected. The demands are not met due to disrupted supply chains at the beginning of such a breakout. And, consumer demand gets badly affected as we move through uncertain times while fighting and overcoming such unfortunate times. This paper examines the relevance of business resilience and management outlooks for ensuring sustainable business models coupled with community-oriented service models.

FOOD SAFETY DRIVES FOR SUSTAINED DEVELOPMENT- A STUDY
K.C., Prof. Chandra
National Food Safety Mission has been seen both as a social safety net for vulnerable sections of the population and as an educational intervention aimed at ensuring that children go to school and that their learning is improved by elimination of hunger in the class room. The role of Food safety drives as social safety nets may have been enhanced on the context of the recent and persisting global food, fuel and financial crises and high rates of food inflation in most parts of the world. In this context, the experience of a large and populous developing country like India with respect to Food safety drives becomes relevant for other countries seeking to initiate or to strengthen and expand such programmes. This research study provides a descriptive summary of India’s experience with Food safety drives, focusing mainly on the state of Tamil Nadu and it capital city Chennai, where it all started in India, the place that saw the launch of a national initiative in this regard.

Internal displacement is a global social and political issue. Although violence-induced internal displacement in Nigeria is traceable to the civil war, the phenomenon has assumed a worrisome dimension and proportion with the increasing rate of insurgency, armed banditry, and farmer-herdsmen crises. This study aimed at assessing service deprivation in internally displaced person camps in Nigeria, using Abuja as a case study. The objectives were to identify the types of services delivered to internally displaced persons; investigate the internally displaced persons’ level of satisfaction services provided, and evaluate the relationship between gender and wellbeing deprivation among the internally displaced persons. Systematic random sampling technique was used to administer 375 copies structured questionnaire to the internally displaced persons in Abuja out of which 287 were completed and successfully retrieved. Data analysis was carried out with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and it was discovered that more than 63% of the displaced persons are not educated beyond primary school, indicating low literacy level. It was also discovered that internally displaced persons experience severe housing, water, and energy poverty. Chi-Square test revealed that there is no statistically significant relationship between gender of the internally displaced persons and their wellbeing, X2 (2, n = 287) = 4.674, p = .097. The study recommended that quality schools and housing should be provided to the internally displaced persons’ camps. The provision of potable water and clean domestic energy to the internally displaced persons’ camps were also recommended.

We are living in an age where we exist less offline but mostly online. Most of our records and data are shared online whether privately or publicly. A part of this data is posted by us ourselves and a part is kept in digital form by our service providers, insurance companies, banks, governmental agencies and others with whom we have formal relations of any kind. When most of our data is available online whether privately or publicly, we need to be cautious about where to share our data and to know how our data is kept safe. This article is all about our online presence, our data and its privacy & protection. This article analyses how successful we are in keeping our online presence by following those ‘privacy policies’ which we most of the time don't take time to read before accepting to use any online service.

I have developed a new financial instrument which will be much more valuable than the bonds or the treasury bills government sold in the open market to raise much needed funds to run the country. These are all interest based instruments and can only be used by institutions. The instrument I am proposing is without interest and will be used by everybody to purchase goods and services in the government and the private sector resulting in up to 66% discounts. This is why these will be massively bought up front in large amounts in the shortest period of time of one month to run the country for at least a year and much more by the end of the year.

The Synchronization of Financial and Business Cycles in Saudi Arabia
El-Baz, Osama; Economist, Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Financial Cycles, Business Cycles, BBQ Algorithm, Amplitude, Procyclicality
Economy & Finance
Financial cycles have become vividly tracked and analyzed by regulatory authorities to avoid the buildup of excessive systemic risks in the financial system that could hamper economic growth. However, fiscal policy usually pays an exclusive attention to business cycles; which might leave fiscal outcomes vulnerable to financial sector dynamics. We investigated financial and business cycles in Saudi Arabia over the period (1970Q1- 2016Q4). The results of the BBQ cycle dating algorithm revealed that the duration of financial upturns (downturns) are longer than that for economic expansions (contractions) in means, also both the amplitude and the slope for upturns (downturns) are higher than those for expansions (contractions) in means. Moreover, financial cycle episodes are more frequent than business cycle episodes. Finally, we found empirical evidence that financial (credit) conditions are crucial for economic stability. Fiscal policy can play an important role in fostering economic growth going forward through the implementation of a countercyclical policy that allows for the accumulation of fiscal buffers and releasing them during periods of an economic slowdown, the setup of early warning systems for business and financial cycles, and the introduction of fiscal rules to limit the scope for a procyclical fiscal stance.

Finance
The international financial crises experienced in recent years have led to the loss of confidence in capital markets. The understanding of organizational management has been developed to enable businesses to become reliable and robust institutions and to regain lost market confidence. Businesses need well-organized and well-functioning information systems to create reliable and robust structures. The most important of the business information systems is the accounting information system (MBS). The accounting information system plays an important role in the development of corporate governance understanding and taking the necessary measures in this direction and also in the presentation of the results of the application to the relevant persons. As a result of the research, it has been determined that there is a significant positive relationship between corporate governance understanding and accounting information systems. In this context, attention should be paid to the accounting information system to successfully implement corporate governance understanding in enterprises and to offer solutions to problems. Because the accounting information system and corporate governance understanding create mutual power for effective management.

A score card approach to management education accreditation
Namaki, MSS EL; Dean, Victoria University, School of Management, Switzerland
Management Education
Education accreditation, college grading, approval, management education, quality of education
Accreditation of business programs and institutions is a powerful industry in the United States and Europe. The industry has massive followers and holds sway over the fate of many an institution. World wide data are not easily accessible but some figures are indicative of the scale and scope of the industry. It is estimated that there are over 4,000 MBA programs in the US, offered by 454 institutions (AACSB, 2014). A multiple of that exists worldwide. Each and every of those institutions needs accreditation or a confirmation of the conformity of the institutional framework, the conversion process and the ultimate outcome with specific standards. The problem, however, is that the standards and those who measure them, have run out of steam, an issue that attracted many including some US politicians(WSJ, July 8, 2015). The following article explores today’s accreditation practice flaws and the potential for a substitute. The article starts with a brief critique of current practice. This is followed by an analysis of the three conceptual foundations of a substitute: systems thinking, metrics and the balanced score card. This alternative blends those conceptual foundations and suggests a novel accreditation instrument: the Program Accreditation Score card or PAS. The article further explores the tenants of this novel instrument and explores its applied dimensions. The article relies on several works on the issue of the accreditation of management education efforts. It refers to existing approaches practiced by key accreditation market leaders and explores some contextual literature. The article could lead to the introduction of a structural change in the conceptual framework and the operational tools of the management education accreditation industry.

THE VITALITY OF COMMUNICATION IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT- A STUDY
Ravinderam, Prof. Mangalan
In today’s global corporation, corporate communication serves as the conscience of the corporation and is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of human resources management in modern organizations. Previously called ‘corporate communication’ or ‘public affairs’, corporate communication has assumed great significance in the 21st century as a result of corporate scandals or crises at modern companies. Public and private undertakings have established corporate communication departments, which usually oversee communication strategy, media relations, crisis communications, internal communications, reputation management, corporate responsibility, investor relations, government affairs and sometimes marketing communication in the present age of globalization, liberalization and privatization. The present study evaluates the corporate communication strategies for human resources management in leading public and private undertakings of Karnataka such as Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, MphasiS and Biocon. The role of corporate communication in human resource management is primarily examined in this paper.

Trade-Led Growth Hypothesis or Growth-Led Trade Hypothesis: An Empirical Analysis of the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) Countries
Opeyemi, OYELADE, Aduralere; University of Ibadan
Trade-led Hypothesis, Panel data, and WAMZ
The paper investigated the trade-led growth hypothesis or growth-led trade hypothesis in WAMZ countries (Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone). Individual country and cross-sectional analysis were done and for the individual country analysis, FMOLS, DOLS, and CCR were considered with Granger causality. The estimated results confirmed the import-led growth hypothesis for Nigeria, Guinea, and Liberia, a trade-led growth hypothesis for the Gambia and Sierra Loan and export-led growth was supported for Ghana. For cross country analysis, FMOLS, DOLS and Granger causality tests were used and trade-led growth hypothesis (both export-led and import-led growth) was valid in WAMZ countries but imports were the most significant variable that influences economic growth than exports. The paper recommended that export promotion policy in WAMZ should focus on manufacturing exports and import substitution policy in WAMZ should focus on importing raw-material and technology for more products in order to accelerate economic growth in WAMZ.

Jerzy Neyman analyzed an imaginary, non existent, Urn ball problem that he thought was taken from J M Keynes’s A Treatise on Probability in his Lectures and Conferences on Mathematical Statistics and Probability (1952). Neyman apparently never read the book for himself. He apparently relied on some, other, unknown source to provide him with the problem that he thought came from J M Keynes’s A Treatise on Probability. The problem can be analyzed based on an “as if” approach to discover if Neyman realized that Keynes’s Principle of Indifference is a substantially different technique from Laplace’s concoction that, when applied, will lead to substantially different answers from those obtained by the use of Laplace’s Principle of Non –Sufficient Knowledge.

CNX Nifty; Union Budget; Volatility/ Variances; NIFTY Returns; Pre-budget period and Post-budget period
This paper analyzes the impact of Union budget on NSE’s CNX NIFTY Index. The impact is measured in terms of daily average returns and volatility over the short term, medium term and long term period in pre and post budget period. The data has been collected for five budget periods from 2011 to 2015. The statistical tools used are paired T-test and F-test. Paired T-test is conducted on average returns and F-test is conducted on variances over the period i.e., 3, 10 and 30 days in pre and post budget period. The maximum impact of budget is seen in short term then it gradually decreases in medium term and finally diminishes in the long term. The implication of this paper is that the investor should fear from investing in the stock market around the budget period.

DEVELOPMENTAL STRATEGIES ROOTED IN BIBLE
Mani, Dominc
Recruitment, selection, mixed team concept, stewardship.
The objective of the paper is to study the Development Strategies adopted by Jesus Christ. He was very careful in choosing his disciples. His twelve disciples were responsible for expanding his kingdom. Jesus was the ultimate spiritreneur, because he gave up a comfortable living as a carpenter to pursue a new line of work that would really affect human lives. All entrepreneurs and CEOs can learn his strategies and expand their organizations. Most of the New Business values fit well into Christ's kingdom of love, servant leadership, trust-based relationships between manager and employee, rather than fear-based ones dependent on corporate hierarchy, ethical behavior; corporate higher purpose and responsibility and personal fulfillment and development.

The Role of Sovereign Wealth Funds in Promoting the External Stability of the Home Economy

Economy Studies
Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) are currently playing an important role in the global economy. We investigated the role of SWFs in promoting the external stability of the home economy using a data set spanning 106 countries over the period (1997-2015), whereby Arellano- Bond dynamic panel data models were employed to assess the treatment effect of SWFs on both the level of the current account balance and its volatility. Empirical results revealed that SWFs can play an important role in smoothing the management of the current account balance in the long run. Nonetheless, commodity-based SWFs are expected to outperform non-commodity based SWFs in this respect. Our policy recommendation is that emerging economies should consider the establishment of SWFs to enhance the external stability of their home economies, allocating privatization proceeds to these investment vehicles to protect the rights of future generations in benefiting from them rather than directing such proceeds to finance current government expenditure and budget deficit. Finally, attention should be paid to the implementation of the generally accepted principles and practices when establishing SWFs to ensure their ability to function properly.

Evaluating the Key Determinants of India’s Energy Security and Overseas Equity Oil Investment

Energy Security, Oil Demand and Supply, Overseas Equity Oil, Framework, diversity
In a span of about two decades, India has become the second fastest growing economy in the world after China. India has surpassed other Asian developing countries not only because of increases in inflows of foreign direct investment but also because of its potential to be a significant outward investor, including in the energy sector. With less than one percent of the world’s oil and gas reserves, more than 80% of its oil requirement is imported. Overseas equity oil investment gradually emerged as a policy instrument of augmenting energy security. In the early 2000s, Indian national oil companies (NOCs) were encouraged by the Government to seek sourcing fossil fuels from abroad. While equity ownership ensures long-term supply security, they are complex and bring in strategic and geo-political considerations. Within India, there are demands for stronger diplomatic support. In this paper, the factors governing outward investment for equity oil are analysed in the context of an energy security framework with four vectors of Accessibility, diversity, reliability, and affordability.

Neo-globalization, Premises, processes and the future
Business Management
Disruption induces disequilibrium. Today’s global economy is the case in point. Powerful sources of disruption are undermining classic premises of global economic equilibrium and, in the process, changing the contours of the World economy. Long cherished globalization premises of free market, open economy, small government, private initiative and deregulation are being challenged. Sources of this challenge are numerous but the most striking is the recent rapid and abrupt USA reclusive and isolationist measures. The United States, the key global economic player, is assuming a protective posture by introducing tariff barriers, annulling international trade agreements, promoting self-serving job creation slogans and hastily recalling industries and services. And all this is uttering threats of crude retaliation. National interest seems to have taken precedence over cross country gains. And others seem to be working on a new framework: globalization minus one. A globalization that is based on new premises and involves the majority of global economic players but one: the United States. This will be the focus of the following article.

Reflections on the Sustainability Theme in Economics
Antonio COSSIGA, Dott. Giovanni; Presidente Collegio Sindaci Policlinico Umberto 1, Università Sapienza – ROMA
Sustainability theory, economics, conjuncture profile, inflation base value, instability sub-world
Sustainability is not only a choice of efficiency and compatible growth, but it also becomes an obligation when economies break away from the path of stability and take the road of submondo of instability. Because the long history of humanity and its path from the dawn of time tell us that this story must last and that the planet's resources must be enough for future generations. Therefore, sustainability must be protected both from the award of linear growth if the path of the economy is correct and from penalties if the economic systems and the leadership that guide them escape from the path of sustainable balance. Therefore, we must imagine that the sustainable economy is governed by an unavoidable natural law that drives the systems to a stable equilibrium. Therefore, if the systems have undertaken the route of instability, they will enter a submondo, in which the linearity of the growth is lost and is replaced by the irregularity in the cycle of the conjuncture. On the other hand, the unstable system is crossed by monetary messages that are not evil but the echo of social and economic malaise. Inflation and deflation are ectoplasms created by the unstable world and destined to be immediately perceived by each member of the community, regardless of any social limitations. So that fighting the monetary signs of inflation or deflation could become a war against windmills. Because it is necessary to combat the malaise of instability and not the signs of this malaise. The economic and social malaise of instability creates tension in the systems towards the recession, which we must understand as an elitist tool to resolve the issue of imbalance. Hindering this trend, which is dictated by natural law and wants to privilege the sustainability of sustainability, can be the cause of the many disturbances that affect today's world, which is grappling with the presumption that we are able to control natural sustainability laws. Which are the perennial viaticum that accompanies humanity in its long march towards the intelligence of creation and nature that surrounds us and acts as a mother.

Recognising the indispensable role of women owned enterprises in general economic development, the government of Nigeria have offered support to the development of women owned enterprises through financial intermediary, infrastructures and policy measures. Despite of these indicators, the state of micro entrepreneurship has yet to reach a satisfactory level and women enterprises continue to lag behind that of their male counterparts. This study therefore investigated the influence of financial inclusion and social inclusion on the Performance of Women - Owned Businesses in Lagos State, Nigeria. The population of this study comprised all four thousand six thousand sixty three (4,663) women-owned Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered with SMEDAN while three hundred and fifty seven (357) were selected as a sample size for the study. The data collection instruments for the study were structured questionnaire and personal interview. Data were analyzed with the aid of Multiple Regression (Ordinary Least Square Estimation) and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. Results showed that financial inclusion and social inclusion have positive and significant influence on women–owned businesses performance. Additionally, financial inclusion and social inclusion jointly contribute about 42.9% to the performance of women –owned businesses. Results also indicated that social inclusion (r = 0. 543**) is positively and significantly related with the financial inclusion. The therefore recommended that government should have a policy in place through its financial regulator to encourage financial institutions to diversify their branch networks in the country and government should also have policies and regulatory frameworks in place that will close the gender gap in financial inclusion and social inclusion.

Effect of Leadership Proximity on Territorial Innovation: The Case of Vallue a Tourist Destination in Haiti
Providence, Christophe; Professor and Researcher at University Quisqueya,

Leadership, proximity, innovation, territorial, tourist attractiveness, local actors, tourism development, local development
The concept of territorial innovation, which evokes the transformation of relations between local actors and physical amenities for the development of a territory, is essential in the reflection on the tourist attraction. To analyze a territorial innovation is to present the socio-cultural, economic and geographical resources that are mobilized by an individual or collective actors. This text maintains that territorial innovation is part of a very broad process of networking tourism operators and their projects with a view to creating a pole of competitiveness. As a result, we resume that there exists a functional proximity which allows the leader in the necessary space in which to perform effective innovative work emotional buffer zones which will enable him to maintain the ability to see clearly and make rational. After discussing approaches to the development of territoriality tourism, we throw the theoretical foundations of the notion of territorial innovation, linked to that of tourist attractiveness, before concluding with the analysis of the process of putting Vallue in tourism in Petit-Goave, in its forks and ruptures leading to cooperative or conflicting innovations.

Dynamic synergy analysis in international business: the concept and application to two players China and Russia
Namaki, M S S El; Dean, Victoria University, School of Management, Switzerland.

International Business
Foreign trade, China, Russia, economic synergy
There are two ways to conduct economic, and possibly political, business between countries. The first is conventional search for country present day competitive advantage (Porter, 1990). Yet competitive advantage is transient, not sustainable (Forbes, 2.6.2013). And competitive advantage could relate to yesterday’s industries not today’s arenas. A more plausible search is that for strategic synergy or a situation where the two countries whole is greater than the sum of individual country parts. The later, the synergy route, places emphasis on strategic longer term complementarity or synergy between the two countries rather than a transient advantage. The following article addresses the second scenario. It projects a model for the identification of the term driving forces of two economies, tracing their respective future synergies and deriving synergy-rooted strategies. The article goes on to apply the model to two countries: China and Russia, being contemporary illustrations of a largely politically driven search for economic synergy. The model could have conceptual as well as applied dimensions. Conceptually, it provides a theoretical framework for present day international business concepts. Operationally it could lead to specific strategies, and venues, for economic and business engagement between countries.

Corporate responsibility and the idea of the firm
Cranmer, Laurence; Associate Fellow, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Corporate Social Responsibility; Corporate Sustainability; Sustainable Business Practices
Corporate Sustainability
An appeal to some version of corporate responsibility has become a strategic issue for business. There are many interpretations of this idea, but it is unlikely that companies can ignore the debate about this issue. Many companies and most global corporations make public claims about their corporate responsibilities in addition to claims about financial outcomes and success. These claims range from informal contributions to public debate, to responses to issues of public concern, to formal reporting on the basis of sets of objectives and targets. This raises a conceptual question: to what extent, if at all, do claims about corporate responsibility have implications for the idea of the firm. The argument developed in this paper is one attempt to address this conceptual question.I will start by setting out one version of the idea of the firm and its core or traditional responsibilities, and then work through a series of possible further responsibilities. Each of these further responsibilities will be incorporated into the initial version in order to understand potential implications for the idea of the firm. The argument in this paper does not assume that this initial version of the idea of the firm is the only possible version, or that the particular dimensions of responsibility described here are the only possible dimensions. However, given this version and these dimensions the paper will consider the kinds of issues that various claims about corporate responsibility would raise for the idea of the firm, and in particular for the boundaries of the firm. The structure of the argument and the specific implications of the responsibilities identified can be assessed separately; the former may continue to be useful even if the latter are disputed or incorrect. In addition, the structure of the argument should make it possible to change the content or the ordering of the specific responsibilities while retaining the overall argument. This paper does not explicitly distinguish between a series of concepts related to the broad idea of corporate responsibility including corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and corporate citizenship among others. These concepts may refer to different aspects of a firm’s responsibilities. For example ‘sustainability’ is increasingly central to the public claims made by firms, and in many cases refers to a specific set of primarily environmental responsibilities. The issues raised by these various concepts can be discussed further. The argument developed does not make claims about whether the implications discussed are desirable, even if the arguments about the implications for the firm are accurate. However, the argument does aim to open up some of the issues that these claims would need to address if any of these implications were considered desirable. This paper is intended as a contribution to a continuing debate and is not a closed argument. It is intended to promote a discussion of the adequacy, the empirical implications, and the ethical implications of the arguments presented, and to stimulate further critical analysis.

remote work, in-person work, SMEs, services sector, survey analysis
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become a widespread phenomenon, affecting various sectors of the economy, including the services sector. This paper examines the effects of remote work and in-person work on productivity, profitability, satisfaction, and challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the services sector. The paper employs a survey methodology to gather data from 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the services sector across India, who have opted for remote work or in-person employment during the pandemic. To analyze the data and test the hypotheses, the paper employs descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. In the paper, it is found that remote work has a positive impact on the productivity and profitability of SMEs in the services sector, but also poses some challenges such as communication difficulties, cyber-security risks, and work-life balance issues. In addition, the paper finds that in-person work has a positive impact on the satisfaction and motivation of SMEs in the services sector, but also exposes them to health risks and operational costs. The paper concludes by presenting some recommendations for small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the services sector to effectively address the challenges of remote work and in-person work, and to capitalize on the potential offered by both forms of employment.

The measurement of the financial issues of local public administrations has never been addressed in the scientific literature on Haiti, either from the point of view of accountability or the evaluation of local public actions. However, the provision of local public goods and services depends on the financial situation of these local public administrations. In this paper, the financial measurement model will be based on nine indicators, three for financial sustainability, three for financial flexibility and three for financial vulnerability. The results demonstrated not only the difficulties faced by municipalities in the West Department in financing their supply of local goods and services to taxpayers, but also the profound disparities in the evolution of their financial health over the period 2015–2018.
